STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — November 10th, 2022 – Centre 1st Bank celebrated the groundbreaking of its new Pennsylvania Headquarters Building in the State College area of Centre County. The 15,000 square foot, two story building will be the flagship property located at the entrance to Patton Crossing, a new 30 acre commercial and residential development currently being developed on North Atherton Street.
Centre 1st Bank, a division of Old Dominion National Bank, officially entered the Central Pennsylvania market in 2018 as a truly locally owned community bank. With over 150 local investors and a Pennsylvania Advisory Board of 22 members, Centre 1st has generated over $500 million dollars of commercial and consumer business along with over $155 million dollars of deposits while operating in two temporary locations. The new building, which is planned to open in late 2023, will feature state of the art in person banking solutions, drive throughs and community meeting spaces. The existing bank’s retail and commercial operational facilities will be combined into this one convenient location in the heart of Centre County’s vibrant North Atherton Street corridor.
“We are excited to take the next step in establishing Centre 1st Bank as a foremost community bank in our markets” commented President Jack Infield. “Since 2018, the consolidated bank is believed to be one of the fastest growing community banks in the country which has been a direct result of the response to our locally owned, locally managed community bank model. Our team, with extensive experience in our markets, offer our customers relationship-based, local lending and business decisions which benefit our customers, our bank, and our community. Our new headquarters will provide our valued employees with additional resources under one roof to continue making a difference for our customers and our successes will continue to make a lasting difference in the community we serve,” says Infield.
“One thing we can all agree on, having Centre1st go in here is good for all of us in State College. This is one of the most high-impact, high-visibility commercial real estate locations in this entire region and having a local-community bank put up a beautiful new facility here is going to send a powerful message to everybody that drives by. It says people want to bring their business here, people want to invest here, and it says that we are open for business.” Said Mayor Ezra Nanes.
